Door & Entrance Provisions
C.2.1Minimum clear opening width: 900 mm for both sliding doors (fully open) and swing doors (90° open position).
C.2.2Door hardware height: 900 mm from finished floor. Lever-type handles and latches preferred over knobs for persons with limited grip strength.
C.2.3Kick plate: 300 mm high from floor. Protects door from wheelchair footrests and provides visual contrast.
C.2.4Peepholes (where provided): dual peepholes at 900 mm (standard) and 1000 mm (for wheelchair users).
C.2.5Vertical door pull recommended on pull side. Accessible toilet cubicle doors shall swing outward.
